Crane Operator Certification Exam Prep Training

The mobile crane operator certification exam prep is a three day class preparing to successfully pass a National certification exam.  Classroom and hands on skill building training for job readiness.

Classes held only twice a year open to individuals with no experience. No credit payment plans are available.
Must be over 21, must have positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Our previous students work an array of companies from Hawaiian Electric, BAE Shipyard, Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, NAVFAC Public Works, MATSON, Hawaiian Dredging, Kiewit, Mechanical Companies, Welding Companies, Landscaping and many other general industries and companies.

Experience is not necessary.
Majority of our previous students succeed by this class generally have a desire and maturity to achieve a better career.  Crane operator training and certification is not just next seasons job it’s a life long career option.
Certification is valid in all 50 States and its Territories.

Mobile crane pay range: Entry-level range $25-$47 /hour Experienced $37-$100+/hour

Basic definition of a Crane Operator
Crane operators service and operate the hoist and swing equipment used to move machinery and/or parts and material at construction sites, industrial yards, ports and other locations. Crane operators manipulate a number of pedals and levers to rotate the crane, and raise and lower its boom and one or more load lines. They often perform all or some of these operations simultaneously. Crane operators use a number of different cranes to lift cargo, machinery and other objects to relocate erect or deconstruct. The weight that cranes carry is usually from a few hundred pounds up to on occasion more than 100+ tons.

You must be 21 and over to attend the class. You must also conduct yourself in a professional manner. Both men and women attend these courses and improper conduct will be cause for dismissal and may result in a forfeit of tuition.

DAY CLASSES – 60 Hours  Begins ——————–
DAILY (MON, TUE, WED, THURS, FRI) 9:00AM – 3:00PM- HONOLULU
(1) SATURDAYS 9:00AM to 3:00 (OPTIONAL)

EVENING CLASSES – 60 Hours  Begins ——————————
DAILY (MON, TUE, WED, THURS, FRI) 4:30PM – 7:45PM- HONOLULU
(3) SATURDAYS 9:00AM to 3:00
NO CLASS ON SUNDAY

Tuition payments or arrangements are due before class begins.  Cash and credit/debit cards are accepted.  Financial aid, OHA, Workforce Development or GI Bill assistance NOT currently available.  Training is for National Certification by the accredited CIC or choice of NCCCO Certification.  This is a 40+/- hour training and exam prep course at an entry level.  Examinations are nationally accredited performed by third party testing facility and certification examiner.

LOCATION:   Classroom training sessions are held in Honolulu and hands on training in Kapolei.  Classroom locations vary by dates with cranes located at Barbers Point.   91-1085 Enterprise St, Kapolei, HI 96707 

Advance hands on job ready skill building exercises available if desired but not required: 
Usually 2-3 hours

PREFERRED CANDIDATES: MUST BE OVER 21 YEARS OLD, AND WITH A DESIRE TO WORK IN THE LIFTING & HANDLING TRADE AND ACHIEVE A FUTURE CAREER AS A CRANE OPERATOR. 

 Certification training process

  1. Written Examination at a computer based testing facility testing on various general knowledge and cranes based on type and capacity
  2. Practical Examination measuring the ability to manipulate controls and maneuver a suspended load
