This course is tailored to equip the entry-level and seasoned individuals with the essential knowledge and skills needed to qualify as riggers and signal persons in the construction, maritime, waterfront, and ship repair industry.  Participants engage in practical learning with live cranes, mastering the safe rigging, hooking, and unhooking of loads involving cranes, forklifts, telehandlers, and horizontally maneuvering loads with chain falls.  The program offers a comprehensive education through a combination of classroom instruction and over 50 hours of hands-on practical training exercises. This ensures that participants are well-prepared for the complexities of lifting and handling operations in a diverse industrial setting with limitless opportunities.

Applied Classroom & Hands On Training

Upon completion of the program, participants will be eligible and prepared to take the certification examination and receive a Rigging Certification, validating their knowledge of current rules and regulations. This training program will prepare the individual to be job ready and competent to work safely and effectively with cranes and load handling tasks in the field of their choice. Individuals with previous experience will be eligible for journeyman status and others with limited work experience will be eligible for entry level positions in the trade.

This 70+ hour is a complete qualified rigger job ready training class is designed to provide individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to become a qualified competent rigger in the fields of:

A Well Rounded Skilled Worker including Forklift & Telehandler Certification Training

As per OSHA regulations, all rigging operations must be carried out under the supervision of a Qualified Rigger, and all rigging equipment and gear must be inspected before use by a qualified rigger. This comprehensive class covers all aspects of rigging operations, including load calculation, job setup, crane set up, gear inspection, and equipment selection. 

Students will engage in both classroom and field exercises to ensure a well-rounded education. To become certified, students must pass both a written and practical examination with a minimum score of 80%.
